Getting Started (Tiers One & Two) Progression

The primary goals at the start of your journey in EverQuest Next Landmark will probably include unlocking all the design tools that you will use to build your creations on your claims. “Getting Started (Tiers 1 & 2) Progression” will show you how to progress enough to unlock your first major building tool: the Selection Tool.

The Building Tools: Addition Tool (T1), Delete Tool(T1), Heal Tool(T1), Selection Tool(T2), Paint Tool(T3), Smooth Tool(T3), and Line Tool(T4)

Addition Tool:
Addition Tool
The Addition Tool is your primary building tool. It is the only tool you have when you create your character. It allows you to place materials (that you’ve gathered, mined or harvested and have in your inventory) in various shapes (cube, sphere, wedge) and sizes (as small as 1 Voxel) on your claim. You can also place dirt anywhere in the world EXCEPT on other claims where you don’t have permission to build.

Delete Tool:
Delete Tool
The Subtraction Tool is the first tool you will need to craft. It enables you to remove any materials you’ve placed on your claim and returns them to your resource inventory. It also allows you to remove earth from your claim, but doesn’t act as a harvesting tool by putting those materials into your resource inventory. The delete tool uses the same shapes as the Addition Tool.

Healing Tool:

The Healing Tool lets you restore the ground on your claim that you have altered in any way and uses the same shapes as the Addition tool.

Selection Tool:
Selection Tool
The Selection tool is one of the most important building tools in your tool set. It lets you select rectangular shapes by the Voxel that you can then copy and paste or paint with materials from your resource inventory. Much of your initial progression will be focused on crafting this important tool.

The Paint Tool lets you paint materials from your resource inventory onto your active Selection Tool area. It’s very handy for constructing large objects like walls, floors and roofs.

Smooth Tool:

The Smoothing Tool lets you turn Voxels into irregular shapes. The Smoothing Tool is definitely a “finishing” tool you will need to give your creations a more realistic appearance by rounding their edges, corners and creating uneven surfaces.
